Spirit of Islam

Wayne Clark of Unlimited was on the Marketing Committee for the exhibit of The Spirit of Islam at the Museum of Anthropology running from October of 2001 to May of 2002. The exhibition was the result of a two year collaboration between members of the local Muslim communities in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and the staff of the Museum of Anthropology.

Unlimited achieved three major goals for the exhibition, including awareness building, in person multimedia presentations for the museum exhibit and ultimately, developed the legacy website.

Unlimited created and developed the e-card for the press release to communicate the exhibit itself and later the virtual legacy found within the Museum of Anthropology¹s website. Using Flash technology, an animated advertisement was used for attracting online visitors to the Museum's Website as well as visitors to the Museum itself to experience the exhibit in person. To view the e-card, see www.unlimiteddigital.ca/islam

Unlimited also developed two multimedia presentations for the "Madrassa" or learning centre. The first was the "Introduction to Calligraphy" and the other was "Community Voices". Both incorporated Flash and Audio applications to bringing still images to animation. We worked closely with local Muslims who provided their art, their stories and their voices to the multimedia presentations. These later became part of the legacy website and are continued to be enjoyed online.

Lastly, Unlimited created and developed The Spirit of Islam website. It is a virtual legacy to the exhibit displayed at the Museum of Anthropology. Unlimited worked closely with then Education Curator Jill Baird, Muslim educators, and community members in developing the project.
